Buffy, Firefly, How I Met Your Mother headed to Disney+? Survey says…. maybe

Everyone’s favorite kid-friendly streaming service could be growing up a little. According to a recent survey sent from Disney+ to selected users, the streaming platform could be on the edge of adding a number of shows geared for adults, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Malcolm in the Middle., Modern Family, Black-ish, How I Met Your Mother and more.

The survey, which reports say has been verified authentic, didn’t go so far as to say those shows are actually coming but simply instead asked viewers if they would watch certain shows in a “Definitely would watch/probably would watch, probably would not watch…” style vote. The end goal, it seems, is just to make sure a large number of subscribers aren’t actively opposed to those shows being added.

And when the entire catalog of The Simpsons plus Marvel movies already exist on the service (both not 100% kid-friendly), you can’t imagine a lot of people will be against the new content.

Buffy, Firefly, and Malcom were all a part of the Fox family, which Disney recently acquired. And while these shows can have some adult themes, they’re mostly tame by today’s television standards.

This doesn’t mean these shows are coming to Disney+ for sure, but the fact that the company is asking about them shows they’re definitely interested.
