Free streaming service STIRR is adding even more content in celebration of their one year anniversary. This comes after the announcement of five new channels just a few days ago, marking a good week for the young service.
Starting this week, users can access a “2020 Live” channel dedicated to 24/7 election coverage with daily campaign events on both sides of the aisle, live town hall meetings stump speeches and more. Unlike other cable news, there will be absolutely no commentary, letting viewers get essentially the most unbiased coverage possible. Sinclaie CEO Chris Ripley said he hoped STIRR offers not just entertainment, but content that “serves members of local communities and impacts their lives.”
In addition to election coverage, STIRR is also adding on demand recently broadcast shows like Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Judge Judy, Dr. Phil, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Exact shows that are available depend on the viewer’s local market.
STIRR launched just last year, but quickly made waves in the free streamingmarket, now offering over 100 channels and 5,000 hours of video-on-demand. They hit 1 million downloads in July and now stand at just under 2 million.
The free STIRR service is available through the STIRR site, on Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku TV, Android and Apple devices
