Coinciding with pride month, the LGBTQ+ network Revry is making its debut on Roku and Samsung TV Plus .
The free network, which is geared towards the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, features content “for the inclusive 21st-century queer community” and by queer creators. Revry has both a live channel and an on-demand library of movies, shows, music, podcasts and more. The on-demand side of things does have ads, but you can upgrade to a premium, ad-free tied for about $6 a month.
Even though LGBTQ+ content is becoming somewhat more common in traditional media, Damian Pelliccione, the CEO and co-founder of Revry, believes “representation saves lives, so partnering with Samsung helps us bring out ‘radically inclusive’ entertainment to an even bigger audience, and gives us the chance to change hearts and minds, both inside and outside of the LGBTQ+ community.”
Before today, Revry was already available in over 225 million households on Comcast, XUMO and TiVo+ devices.
