The most popular free streaming service is now boldly going where no other service has gone before.
Starting today, Pluto TV will have a full channel devoted to all things Star Trek. First up – Star Trek: The Next Generation. More content will be added at a later date.
This marks the first time Star Trek in any form has been available free to streamers in a long time. When CBSViacom acquired Pluto TV last year, it was expected that some CBS shows would be added to the streaming service, and it looks like we’re finally starting to see that happen.
Also coming to Pluto are other shows like Survivor, The Amazing Race, Beverly Hills 90210, CSI: Miami, JAG, MacGyver, Everybody Hates Chris, selected episodes of South Park, and more.
If you’re not familiar with Pluto TV, it’s quickly becoming one of the biggest things in streaming. It’s a completely free service (which means there are ads) with over 250 themed channels covering sports, documentaries, music, comedy, classic TV, news and more, plus a huge library of on-demand content. At present, it has 23 million active users, making it the most popular free streaming service by a large margin. It’s easily the widest and deepest streaming service around, and it’s available on nearly any device.
