Free streaming service Plex adds over 80 live channels

Your free streaming options are getting a little deeper this week as Plex has added more than 80 live channels, all at no charge.

The new channels cover a huge variety of genres, with news, kids, aliens, sports, anime, travel, cars, cooking, music, courts, movies, comedy, romance and more available. This is in addition to the 14,000 (and counting) free movies, documentaries, and TV shows already available on Plex.

The offerings here might not exactly correlate to cable channels, but they’re definitely still worth checking out for no charge. Plex is available through Roku, Apple TV, Android, iOS, and web browsers.

To make it all a little easier to digest, Plex also rolled out a new channel guide (similar to what Roku just did) just like the old TV guide channel of cable.
