FuboTV Adds Fusion To Their Live Streaming Lineup

FuboTV’s entry level package is getting a little bigger, as the company announced today that Fusion TV is joining their lineup. The network will be a part of their introductory “Fubo Premier” plan, currently priced at $34.99 a month.

If you’re not familiar with Fusion, it focuses on mostly lifestyle and pop culture content, with some news and satire thrown in. Even though it’s from Univision, it’s geared towards English speaking millennials, especially those of a Hispanic background. This is Univision’s first real foray into English programming. “From going deep on cultural obsessions to telling impactful stories that matter,” reads the network’s official description, “FUSION TV provides a unique blend of enriching programming that reflects the shared passions and values of America’s diverse youth.”

While Fubo began as a streaming service focused on soccer, they’ve quickly expanded their channel lineup to be pretty competitive with other companies like DIRECTV NOW and Sling. Fubo’s base plan has over 60 channels, and includes networks like FOX and FS1, Travel, Fuse, A&E, HGTV, Hallmark, NatGeo, USA, and more.

Fusion TV seems excited about the partnership, said Daniel Eilemberg, the company’s president and chief content officer. “Our audience craves enriching programming that shares their curiosity, sharpness, and passion and we’re excited to further satisfy that appetite by making FUSION TV available to fuboTV’s customers whenever and wherever they choose to watch.”

Fusion is joining several other UCI networks already on Fubo, including Univision, UDN, UniMas, Galavision and El Rey Network.

The addition of Fusion comes at a fairly busy time for Fubo. It was just a few weeks ago that they announced the influx of $55 million in new funding, and just this month that they signed deals with CBS and Showtime, plus added Scripps Networks like Food Network, HGTV, and the Travel Channel.

If their strategy of targeting the young demographic that’s never had a cable plan catches on, Fubo could be even more of a force in the coming months.
