If you’ve ever wanted to watch Game of Thrones on the big screen, here’s your chance, because HBO Go has launched their app for Google Daydream.
For now though, HBO’s Daydream app doesn’t actually offer any content in virtual reality, but just shows it in a larger than life theater setting. VR content is on the way though, HBO execs have stated.
As a part of this announcement, Google also said that two new phones – Moto Z and Moto Z Force from Lenovo – would be compatible with Daydraem, making them the first non-Google produce phones to cooperate with the device.
Hulu was the first major streaming service to launch on Daydream, and they actually did release with some VR content. It’s been reported that Netflix will add a Daydream app before the end of the year, so we can expect that to happen in the next few weeks.
Also notable in this update for Daydream was support for the NextVR app, which will broadcast some sporting events (like the NBA, the NFL, and the Daytona 500) and concerts live in virtual reality.
