Netflix Adding Six Animated Kids Shows To Original Lineup

Six new original animated shows for kids will be added to Netflix’s growing library of originals, including another Lego series to go along with Lego Bionicle and Lego Friends.

Mystery and supernatural themes abound as the new Netflix shows set to debut in 2017 and 2018 include Lego Elves, The Hollow, Robozuna, Kibaoh Klashers, Treehouse Detectives and Super Monsters.

Lego Elves (slated for eight episodes) takes older kids to a magical but dangerous forest as humans and elves team up to protect themselves from an evil goblin king. The Hollow is for older ones as well, telling the story of strangers who become friends as they scavenge through a mystery world desperately trying to get home. Kibaoh Klashers will be about a car-racing beetle and Robozuna follows a teenage boy and a homemade robot fighting an evil empire.

Youngest Netflix viewers get two new shows intended for preschoolers. Treehouse Detectives lets them solve nature’s mysteries along side a brother and sister bear investigator duo and Super Monsters shows a kindergarten class of playful young monsters mastering their super powers through simple readiness skills.

Super Monsters is the latest collaboration between Netflix and 41 Entertainment, who also partnered together to make Kong: King of the Apes plus the anticipated Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan and Jane.
