Fans of the Netflix science fiction drama Sense8 who have been waiting for details on the release of the show’s second season got some good news this week, and then some.
First, it was announced that the second season of Sense8 would be released on May 5, 2017. Even better though, is that fans won’t have to wait that long to get their fix, because a two hour Christmas special is dropping Friday, Dec. 23.
The provided description for the Sense8 Christmas special is pretty vague, only saying “The journey continues as these eight singular hearts and minds weave in and out of each other’s lives finding deeper connections, learning darker, more desperate secrets about one another and struggling to identify with more than just oneself.”
If you’re not familiar with the show, Sense8 follows the lives of eight different people around the world who suddenly find themselves linked in the aftermath of a mysterious death. As they try to find out what’s happening and why, a mysterious organization hunts them down, bent on destruction.
Sense8 features an international cast of names like Daryl Hannah from Kill Bill and Naveen Andrews, who fans know from Lost.
