Sling TV continues to prove why it’s the current king of the live tv streaming market. Sling TV currently boasts around 2.4 million subscribers and offers one of the best values on the market for just $25 a month. While it may be easy to sit at the top, Sling instead chooses to continue to add new channels, features, and packages for its subscribers, offering a level of versatility not seen in many other television packages at that price point. This week, Sling TV announced a huge new set of a la carte channels including 13 new STARZ networks. Can Sling be stopped?
In an announcement released today, Sling TV says it’s “always adding new content.” Each of the new channels announced today can be purchased a la carte without a base Sling TV subscription, offering STARZ fans a way to get the ultimate “skinny bundle.” The 13 new STARZ Networks offer a little something for everyone with a wide selection of channels: Starz; Starz Cinema; Starz Comedy; Starz Edge; Starz in Black; Starz Kids & Family; Starz Encore; Stare Encore Action; Starz Encore Black; Starz Encore Classic; Starz Encore Espanol; Starz Encore Family; Starz Encore Suspense; and Starz Encore Westerns. This standalone add-on pack costs just $9 a month.
Aside from the huge new STARZ package, Sling TV announced the addition of Genius Brands. The channel airs children’s favorites Llama, Llama, The Adventures of Paddington Bear, and Dino Squad and streams content suitable for toddlers to tweens. A Genius Brands subscription costs just $5 a month and does not require a base Sling TV subscription.
Finally, Sling TV is proud to announce the addition of FlixLatino, its latest Spanish-language on-demand channel. FlixLatino carries a huge catalogue of contemporary films, documentaries, and television series from Spain and Latin America. FlixLatino is just $3/month.
