Sling TV Launches New Total TV Deal Combining 8 Extras Packages for $20

Sling TV continues to prove why it’s one of the best values in streaming television on the market today. In an announcement released today, Sling TV has unveiled their latest package, offering one of their largest selections yet of extra channels at an unbelievably low price.

Sling is calling the new multi-Extra package the “Total TV Deal” and for many cable cutters who want a small-yet-stellar offering of channels to add to their Sling TV experience. For just $20 a month, Sling TV users can get 50 hours of cloud DVR and seven of the streaming service’s most popular Sling TV Extra packages: Sports Extra, Kids Extra, News Extra, Lifestyle Extra, Heartland Extra, Hollywood Extra, Comedy Extra.

The Total TV Deal is offered for less than half of what all of those individual Extra packages would cost together separately and include channels like MTV, VH1, BET, NickToons, Teen Nick, Disney XD, BBC World News, ESPN News, ESPNU, and dozens more. For Sling Orange customers, the Total TV Deal adds nearly 80 more channels for just $20.

Sling TV has also changed the price of the Sports Extra package. Current Sports Extra subscribers will be notified this week that that package will now cost $10 a month due to the costs of adding many in-demand channels like MLB Network, NHL Network, NBA TV and more. As more and more streaming packages appear, the cost of licensing these major channels is starting to rise.

While Sling TV and others try to keep their prices as low as possible, sometimes licensing costs are out of their hands. The price of Sports Extra for new Sling Orange customers will be $10 as of today, and current customers will see the updated price reflected on their next bill beginning on Aug. 1, 2019. The price of Sports Extra will remain at $10 each month for Sling Blue customers and customers who subscribe to both Sling Orange and Sling Blue.

Current Sling TV customers can add the Total TV Deal to their subscriptions by visiting sling.com, selecting “My Account” and then clicking on “Change Subscription.”
