It was just about a week ago that Sony debuted their Playstation Vue streaming service on Android, and the service has made another leap this week by finally releasing a web version.
When the Android version of Vue was announced, it was stated that the web version was coming “soon.” Most people didn’t realize that “soon” was just a few days away though.
Sony has been working to expand Playstation Vue‘s reach beyond gamers, and dispel misinformation like the fact that a Playstation console is necessary for viewing.
Customers can sign up for the web version of Playstation Vue and then watch straight from their browser on any PC or Mac computer or tablet.
Playstation Vue on the web does bring a few new features that weren’t available anywhere else, like a nifty little mini player that will lets viewers shrink the video to the corner of their browser, so they can watch content while doing other things online.
Playstation Vue has over 100,000 subscribers, and offers live TV streaming (including NBC, Fox, ESPN) with a starting price of just $30 a month with the option to buy more channels inidivdually.
