One of the biggest stars (literally) of the squared circle is headlining a new Netflix comedy slated to start filming this August. The show, titled The Big Show, stars, appopriately enough, WWE superstar Paul Wright, better known by his in-ring name The Big Show.
The family friendly sitcom centers around a fictionalized version of Wright, a retired WWE star who has his life turned upside down when his teenage daughter comes to live with him, his wife, and his two other daughters. “Despite being 7 feet tall and weighing 400 pounds,” a release reads, “he is no longer the centre of attention.”
The show also stars Allison Munn (who you know from Nickelodeon‘s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn) and young actresses Reylynn Caster (from American Housewife), Juliet Donenfeld (from Pete the Cat) and Lily Brooks O’Briant (Young Dot in The Tick).
10 episodes are schedules for the first season, which doesn’t have a release date set yet. This show marks the first outside-the-ring acting gig for The Big Show. If you’re interested in seeing his career to this point, catch him over on WWE Network.
