HBO Max has the whole Big Bang Theory universe under one umbrella as they’re now the exclusive streaming home of the spinoff series Young Sheldon.
The streaming service already has the entire 279 episode collection of Big Bang Theory, and now they have the prequel spinoff, currently one of the most popular shows on television. Based on the childhood of Sheldon Cooper (a main character in BBT), the series follows an exceptionally intelligent young boy growing up in Texas where he struggles to fit in.
Series creator Chuck Lorre noted that while Sheldon Cooper “would need to manipulate spacetime” to visit his younger self, all viewers need is HBO Max. The streaming service’s president, Kevin Reilly, added that their “Big Bang offering is complete” now. “We are so proud to be the home of this beloved franchise and the place where new and existing fans can learn about young Sheldon Cooper’s roots.”
HBO Max is one of the most highly anticipated streaming service launches in some time, as it has a massive collection of content. It carries every HBO original, the entire Friends catalog, every episode of Fresh Prince, Rick and Morty, South Park, the Harry Potter franchise, most of the DC Universe and a lot more.
It does have a price that’s a little higher than most other streaming services, and while it got off to a slow start, experts think it’ll do just fine in the long run.
