Just as their free offer of Epix is ending, YouTube TV is offering up another set of freebies to customers.
Starting this week, subscribers to the live television streaming service can get a free trial month of a number of different services including Showtime, CuriosityStream (focusing on documentaries), Acorn TV (the best of British programming), Sundance Now, UMC (the Urban Movie Channel) and Shudder (featuring horror, thriller and supernatural).
While last month’s Epix trial required customers to do nothing to get the free content, this month is more of a traditional “trial offer” where customers have to sign up and then cancel or they’ll be billed.
This is the exact offer that Showtime and AMC have for subscribers at the moment, but it’s always good to have another outlet to get free shows. It’s worth noting though that if you’ve previously signed up through those free trials, you’re not eligible for this YouTube TV offer.
Almost all streaming services have rolled out some kind of free content in recent weeks and while it’s not clear if YTT is doing this because of the uptick in streaming while most of America is quarantined, it’s not a bad time to get their services in front of new eyeballs.
